Tips for Travelers

- The caravan route was supported with red-white paints and signs. But over the years there have been erasures in paint and breaks in signs. So if you don't want to get lost, don't forget to take your GPS device with you.

- You have to plan very well before embarking on this adventure. There are no grocery stores in many settlements.

- The best times to go are the spring and autumn months.

- There is a bear population in the Gidengelmez Mountains section of the route, you can wear a small bell to your backpack or blow a whistle in order to avoid these animals.

- There are areas where you can camp on the road. We recommend that you choose a suitable area for you and enjoy this unique experience.

- Travelers who do not want to camp can stay in the hostel in Cevizli.

Transportation Options

If you want to perform this route, you have to reach three different starting points, Akseki, Manavgat, or Seydişehir districts.

- It is located 214 kilometers from the center of Antalya.
- Antalya city center is 78 kilometers from Manavgat district and 152 kilometers from Akseki district.
- You can find minibus (dolmuş) from Antalya to Akseki and Manavgat.
In addition, intercity buses between Antalya and Konya pass through all three districts.

Where to Stay

- Travelers who want to camp can camp in Maden Plateau, Değirmenlik Plateau, Değirmenlik Village, Susuzşahap Village, Cevizli Ketenderesi promenade area, Günyaka festival area, Menteşbey social facility, Güzelyalı Dağ Restaurant.

- If you contact the muhtars in advance, the village houses in Değirmenlik, Susuzşahap, Günyaka, Üzümlü, Akşahap, Menteşbey, Sinanhoca, Kepezbeleni and Güzelyalı villages, which are the routes, are also options.

- In Manavgat, Akseki and Seydişehir districts, there are accommodation options such as hotels, pensions and teachers' houses. There is also a hotel in Cevizli town on the route.

Tınaztepe Cave

It is located next to the Seydişehir-Manavgat highway in Keçili Village, 35 km from the town center. The cave consists of three parts. The top of the cave is 100 meters long and is completely fossilized. The middle part; It has a length of about 1000 meters and plenty of water flows through it on rainy days. The lowest part has a sinkhole cave feature. During rainy periods, lakes are formed in this part. Tınaztepe Cave, which has a different structure, is one of the must-see places of the district.

Akseki

Established in the south of the western Taurus Mountains and formerly known as Marulye (Uzak Ulemalar Diyarı), Akseki dates back to Etiler. He continued his life in Side and Alanya in the same parallel during Hellenistic and Roman times. You should definitely visit the ruins of ancient city of Cevizli Gağras, Kuyucak Village Kartallı Cave, Düdencik Cave on the Beyşehir road, Dipsiz and İlvat lakes, Çimi, Göktepe and Yedikaza plateaus located in the north of Geyik Mountains.

Düğmeli Evler

The traditional Akseki house consists of 2 floors and stone walls. Although the stone wall looks like the original carrier, the house carries a wooden frame. The short pieces placed vertically on the stone wall in the house call the local people as "buttons". In these buttons, the stub tree is used. You can see these houses in Akseki district center and villages, as well as in İbradı district Ormana and Ürünlü villages.

Manavgat Waterfall

Located on the Manavgat Stream in the Manavgat district of Antalya, this famous waterfall is 80 km from Antalya. Manavgat Waterfall, which takes its name from the district it is located, is located 5 km from the district center. Dumanlı Spring, which has a karstic structure, is the biggest source where the waterfall flows at a high flow despite falling from a small height. In the waterfall where white stalactites are formed due to the karstic structure, the current is very strong and the water is quite cold. Although it is poured from a small height, its flow over a large area creates a view worth seeing.

Altınbeşik Cave

Altınbeşik Cave National Park, located to the southeast of İbradı District and Ürünlü Village, is located on the western slope of the deep and steep Manavgat Valley. It is a three-storey cave system within the karstic structure of the Central Taurus Mountains. An arrangement has been made for the use of visitors in the entrance area of the cave and there are sitting groups, picnic tables, garbage cans, stone paved walking path. Do not forget to enjoy this beautiful view.

Oymapinar Dam Lake

Oymapinar Dam is located 18 km from the center of Manavgat. It is the 3rd largest dam in Turkey. It was built between 1977-1984 for the purpose of producing electrical energy. At the end of Oymapınar road, you can reach the entrance gate of Oymapınar Alternative Tourism Region. There are two roads left and right after the door. If you follow the right, you can go up to the dam, and if you follow the left, you can go up to the dam. Both routes are among the recommended sightseeing destinations.
