Patara Beach is located near the ancient city of Patara and is one of the biggest and beautiful beaches in this region. Not only in Turkey, it is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world. It is among the best in this area with its length of about 18 kilometers. Sand dunes near Patara Ancient City, which is one of the important cities of the Lycian Union with the excavations in the region and dates back to the 8th century BC, reminds the deserts of Egypt.

Horse and camel safari tours are organized in the fine sand dunes by the entrepreneurs in the region. Holidaymakers passing through the ancient city, cross the dunes and embark on a dusty journey in the unique beauty of the 12-kilometer Patara Beach.

The beach, which is also an important nesting area for caretta carettas, turns into a natural photo studio at sunset.

Rock Tombs and Xanthos Ancient City

Rock and king tombs are among the most important values ​​of the district in terms of alternative tourism. The graves on the steep rocks in the Islamlar Quarter are among the places that especially those who want to go for a walk. Xanthos Ancient City, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List, attracts the attention of foreign tourists with its rock and sarcophagus tombs and erected tomb monuments specific to Lycian culture. The ancient city is still intact, despite many historical events and wars.

The granaries, which were determined to be built 350 years ago, inspired by the Lycian sarcophagi in Bezirgan village, also serve cultural tourism in the district. 125 warehouses, lined up side by side, are still used as warehouses by villagers in the region. With its different architectural structure and wooden texture made of cedar wood, warehouses challenge the time.
