A Natural Beauty in Antalya: Green Lake

Located on the foothill of Akdag, the highest point of the western Taurus Mountains in the district of Kas in Antalya, Green Lake amazes with its beauty.

The lake, which takes its name from the color of its water, attracts the attention of local and foreign tourists.

Green Lake is a crater lake located under the summit of Akdağ at an altitude of 1990 meters. Along with the snow melting on the slopes of Akdağ, Yeşil Göl's water, which has a temperature of around 12 degrees, flows under the soil by flowing towards Gömbe Plateau.

With an area of 50 decares, Green Lake takes its name from the color of its water. The water flowing through the rocks from the Green Lake is taken into the pipes and used as drinking water in the neighborhoods of Kaş, Demre and Elmalı. It is stated that part of the water of the lake comes from the sources of Uçarsu Waterfall.
