Located on the foothill of Akdag, the highest point of the western Taurus Mountains in the district of Kas in Antalya, Yeşil Göl impresses everyone with its beauty.
The lake, which takes its name from the color of its water, attracts the attention of local and foreign tourists.
Yeşil Göl is a crater lake located under the summit of Akdağ at an altitude of 1990 meters. Along with the snow melting on the slopes of Akdağ, the water of Yeşil Göl, which has a temperature of around 12 degrees, flows under the soil by flowing towards Gömbe Plateau.
With an area of 50 decares, Yeşil Göl takes its name from the color of its water. The water flowing through the rocks from the Yeşil Göl is taken into the pipes and used as drinking water in the neighborhoods of Kaş, Demre and Elmalı. It is said that part of the water of the lake comes from the springs of Uçarsu Waterfall.
